ITI, Cuttack in Electronic Mechanics. Sasmita strongly believed that there is no elevator to success and one has to take the stairs. His hard work finally paid off and he got a job as a technician with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited at a monthly salary of Rs 30,000.

As the institute has no hostel facilities, Gopika Behera would pedal to Madhusudan Government ITI in Cuttack every day from her village. The training institute gave wings to his dreams and he did not mind sweating to acquire knowledge that would pave the way for him to earn a living. The daughter of a motor launch driver in the police department, she was in her genes to chase the impossible. After training as a draftsman in civil and completing the course in 1983, he joined the Directorate of Fisheries in Cuttack as a draftsman.
